Security ownership statistics
Holder counts, ownership change, top-10 holder share and ownership percentage on stock pages.
All security-level statistics are computed among tracked managers and labeled that way (the full-market context line, where shown, comes from the SEC structured data set and carries its own period).
- Holders / shares / value — distinct tracked managers reporting a long common-equity position, and the sums of their reported shares and values.
- Δ holders / Δ shares / Δ value — computed only across managers present in both quarters (the comparable set), so universe growth never masquerades as buying.
- Top-10 holder share — the top 10 holders' percentage of all tracked shares in the security (ownership concentration).
- Average weight — the mean portfolio weight the security occupies among its holders (how much its owners care).
- Ownership % — tracked shares ÷ shares outstanding, labeled “% of shares outstanding held by tracked 13F filers (not all institutions)”. Suppressed (with a note) when a share-class mismatch would push it above 100%.
Ownership-divergence patterns. When the quarter's share change and holder-count change (comparable set) are both non-zero, stock pages name the combination: shares ↑ holders ↑ = broad accumulation; shares ↑ holders ↓ = concentrated accumulation; shares ↓ holders ↓ = broad distribution; shares ↓ holders ↑ = ownership fragmentation. These are descriptions of the two reported quantities, not interpretations of intent.
Limitazioni
Tracked-universe figures understate total institutional ownership by construction. Shares outstanding come from delayed market data and may lag corporate actions.
