Where every figure comes from
Every number on this site traces to one of the sources below; detail pages name the exact filing or series.
| Source | What it supplies | Timeliness |
|---|---|---|
| SEC EDGAR — Form 13F | Quarterly institutional holdings: filing index for all filers; parsed information tables for the tracked universe | Filed up to 45 days after quarter end; our index refreshes daily |
| SEC EDGAR — Forms 3/4/5 | Insider transactions (officers, directors, 10% owners), non-derivative tables | Filed within 2 business days; ingested daily |
| SEC EDGAR — Schedules 13D/13G | Beneficial-ownership stakes above 5% and their amendments | Filed within days of the event; ingested daily |
| SEC structured 13F data set | Full-market per-security holder counts across all ~9,000 filers (context lines) | Published quarterly by the SEC with a lag; period always labeled |
| Financial Modeling Prep | Delayed quotes, company profiles (sector, industry, market cap, shares outstanding), stock-split calendar, per-symbol news aggregation | Quotes delayed 15–20+ min; profiles refreshed weekly |
| Mainstream news feeds | CNBC, MarketWatch, Yahoo Finance and other named outlets — headlines and feed summaries, always credited and linked out | Hourly |
Two clocks, never mixed: filing data carries its reporting period (e.g. Q2 2026) and filed date; market quotes carry their own delayed as-of time. A page can honestly show both — it will never blend them into one number.
Data may be incomplete or revised by its source at any time; verify against the linked primary documents before acting.
