Data pipeline & universe

Where every row of data comes from, and which managers are parsed in depth.

All ownership data originates from public SEC EDGAR documents, fetched directly from sec.gov with an identifying User-Agent, globally throttled below SEC's automated-access guidance, and cached immutably (filings do not change once accepted; amendments are new documents).

Comparable sets. Every quarter-over-quarter aggregate uses only managers observed in both quarters. During a filing season (today < period end + 46 days), season aggregates additionally restrict to managers whose new filing has arrived, and pages show the comparable-universe count next to the claim.

Limitations

13Fs cover only reportable U.S. long positions, reported up to 45 days after quarter end. The tracked universe is a defined subset of all filers; aggregate figures describe that universe, not the whole market, and say so where they appear.
